Core Features Overview

Workspaces

A workspace is your central environment connecting printers, print jobs, projects, and users in Digital Factory. Its primary purpose is to enable the core 3D printing workflow of turning a digital model into a physical parts.

Ways to Prepare a Print

The UltiMaker ecosystem offers multiple ways to get your models from a digital file to a physical object. Each is designed to streamline your workflow, from slicing in the cloud to sending files directly from your desktop.

Manage Connected Printers

View the status of your connected printers, check their configuration, and manage your printers from any device.

Manage and Monitor Print Jobs

View the status of your connected printers, check their configuration, and manage your printers from any device.

Library and Projects

Ease your workflow with a centralized storage library for your 3D printing projects. You can add print files, documents, or 3D models

Other Features

Printer maintenance

For each added printer, you can view the recommended maintenance tasks and mark them as done. This helps to keep your machines in optimal condition.

Print job report

Download a report of the printer's print job history to gain insights into the printer usage, selected configurations, material consumption, and success rates.

Access & security

You can enable a firewall or set an access code PIN for each added printer. The firewall will block all unsolicited local network traffic of your printer while the PIN code restricts access to the printer settings.

Roles and Permissions

Control who has access to printers and projects within your workspace by setting specific user roles.

Create and Manage Teams

Smaller, collaborative groups within a larger workspace. A workspace is the highest tier of an organization, and your subscription plan is tied to it. Within the workspace, you can create and manage multiple teams to organize different projects or departments.

Note: Certain features or functionality might be dependent on subscription type (indicated on each page). For an overview, see Subscriptions Overview
