What is a Workspace Track?
When you first set up your Digital Factory Workspace, you choose a "track" that aligns with your environment. The track determines the subscription plans, user roles, and features available to you. This ensures that the platform is tailored to the unique workflow and collaboration needs of either a business or a school.
Professional (PRO) Track
The Professional track is designed for collaboration and privacy in a business or enterprise environment. Its features are built to give teams the autonomy they need while providing admins with powerful management tools for commercial R&D and production.
- Best for: Businesses, design studios, and enterprise R&D departments.
- Focus: Trusted collaboration, project privacy, and efficient workflow management.
- User Roles Include: Admin, Manager, Member, and Guest.
Education (EDU) Track
The Education track is designed for safety and guided learning in an academic setting. The roles and permissions are structured to create a safe, controlled environment where educators can manage student access to printers and review their print jobs before they start.
- Best for: K-12 schools, universities, and academic research labs.
- Focus: Classroom management, student safety, and guided 3D printing education.
- User Roles Include: Admin, Educator, Student Manager, and Student
