Sign in to Ultimaker Cura
Step 1. Sign in to Cura
Use the sign in button on the top right corner of the Cura interface to sign in to your Ultimaker account.
Note: Please make sure to use the latest version of Cura. If you are in an organization ask your administrator to install Ultimaker Cura Enterprise. If you are a personal user you can download the latest version of Ultimaker Cura on our website.
Step 2. Continue sign in
A browser window will appear showing the Ultimaker sign in page. Sign in with your Ultimaker account. Don't have an Ultimaker account? Create one for free.
Step 3. Go back to Cura
You can now go back to Cura. Notice that all your connected Ultimaker printers are now available to you in Ultimaker Cura.

Import a 3D model
Import model
Click on the folder icon to import a 3d model into Cura. By default Cura is capable of opening .stl .3mf .obj and .x3d files.
Tip: If you already have projects and files saved to your Digital Library, you can also import 3d model directly from Digital Library in Ultimaker Cura. Learn more about the Digital Library
Select a connected printer and available configurations
Step 1. Select printer
Select the printer from the printer selection printer. Your connected printers will be automatically shown in this list.
Step 2. Choose printer configuration
Next, choose your printer configuration. With the Digital Factory, your connect Ultimakers printers will automatically show which materials and print core are currently set up on the printer.
When using an Ultimaker Pro-bundle the configuration dropdown will show all material combinations you have available on your printer. If you want to prepare a print file with a different configuration than the one available on the printer select Custom configuration and manually select the materials and cores you would like to print with.
Want to print with third-party materials?
You can add more materials to the material list from the Ultimaker Marketplace.
Step 3. Define printing settings
Using the third dropdown select your print settings. Just easily choose between one of the intent profiles available and you are ready to slice your file.

Step 4. Slice model
After selecting the appropriate print settings hit the slice button in the bottom right corner. Ultimaker Cura will then generate a print file.
Printing over cloud with Ultimaker Cura
Print from Cura
To send a print job to a printer from Ultimaker Cura you can simply press the Print via Cloud button in the bottom right part of the screen. If the button doesn't mention Print via cloud, click the dropdown arrow and select Print via cloud.
Monitor print jobs in Digital Factory (works on mobile)
Click on your account on the top right corner and select Ultimaker Digital Factory to navigate to the Digital Factory in your browser. On the printer page you can see all printers you have access to. Click on a printer and monitor the status of your print job.
