Article Details

UltiMaker Cura contains a lot of information about the printer and its configuration, the loaded models, model adjustments, and print profiles. Saving all this information is possible in the form of a project file. This file stores all this information in one place, so you can easily re-evaluate and make changes later, and back up all your printing projects.

You can save the Cura project to your computer. Additionally, if you have connected any network-enabled UltiMaker printers to the Digital Factory, you can also save the project to your Digital Library.

If you require support for an issue that might be related to the print settings or Cura configuration, your reseller or support agent may ask you for the project file. This facilitates troubleshooting because agents can easily check all information and, if necessary, reproduce the print job with the exact same settings.

Note: Although UltiMaker support agents will never misuse or distribute shared project files, always ensure you are allowed to share the 3D models before sharing a project file. If the models are confidential but the issues are not model-specific, try to reproduce with a generic or publicly available 3D model instead.
