Error 2 - Rotor is jammed

If during operation of the PVA Removal Station, the rotor stops and the rotor speed LEDs blink in a pattern, the PVA Removal Station has encountered an error. If both LEDs flash twice, then pause for 1 second, this is error code 2.

This error indicates that the rotor is jammed. This can have two potential root causes:

Printed part blocks the rotor The rotor is stuck or damaged

During operation of the PVA Removal Station, printed objects must always be placed in the rinsing basket. Never use the PVA Removal Station without the rinsing basket, as this can cause damage to the printed object or the rotor.

When this error appears, always first check if the rinsing basket is in place and, if so, that the printed object is not sticking out from the basket's walls:

No rinsing basket

If there is no rinsing basket in the PVA Removal Station, take the following actions:

  1. Turn off the PVA Removal Station and remove the top cover
  2. Take the printed object out of the container
  3. Place the object in the rinsing basket
  4. Lower the rinsing basket into the container
  5. Place the top cover onto the PVA Removal Station
Object protrudes

Also, make sure that no parts of the printed object are protruding through the sides of the basket. This could also damage the print and potentially block the rotor.

Tip: Especially for prints with long, thin parts, secure placement of the object in the rinsing basket is important. Position the object so that the fragile parts are facing inward, and use the divider to lock the object in place.

When you observe that part of the print is sticking out of the basket, take the following actions:

  1. Turn off the PVA Removal Station
  2. Remove the top cover
  3. Lift the rinsing basket out of the container and place it in the parking position
  4. Unlock the basket's lids and adjust the position of the printed part
  5. Place the divider against the object and close the lids to secure it in place
  6. Lower the rinsing basket into the container
  7. Place the top cover onto the PVA Removal Station

With the rinsing basket and object correctly placed, you can now turn on the PVA Removal Station again and resume operation.
